Hotel Muse MGallery Hotel Bangkok Stay Review

On October 8, 2019 by Michelle

Hi all!

Checking back in my blog to bring to you a short review on our stay at Hotel Muse MGallery Hotel in Bangkok back in June 2019. Having stayed in so many hotels the past year (we stayed in a whopping 9 hotels for the past year). The stay at the Hotel Must is the most memorable because the service we had was impeccable.

We first booked our stay via the hotel’s website. As we are Le Club Accor Hotels member, we went for the member special offer with free breakfast and an additional 10% off.

Check-in process

When we entered the hotel, we were greeted by the elegant and sophisticated art deco great gatsby decor. It was no brainer as to why the hotel is awarded “The Best Luxury Hotel 2018” award from Conde’ Nast Johansens and “The Best Romantic Hotel in Asia 2017” from Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards.

While the receptionist checked us into the hotel, we were being served welcome drinks, with some of them being alcoholic. We were also lucky enough to become their “Muse of the Day” and were given a free upgrade from the Deluxe King room to the Yama Executive room with club lounge access.

Check-in starts from 12pm. The process was quick and easy and what impressed us the most was when the receptionist actually guided us up to our room and gave us a tour. She also explained the different amenities and facilities available in the hotel. Talk about top-notch service! Our luggages were also sent up the rooms without us having to trouble ourselves with the load (considering how much shopping we have already done!).

Location

Well-positioned along Langsuan Road which is just minutes away from the Chit Lom BTS Station via Tuktuk. Centralworld, a popular shopping center, is just 770 meters away. Even without the Tuktuk service, we walked back from Centralworld to the hotel within 15 minutes. However, we did take some shortcuts while walking, so if you are walking along the main road, it may be slightly longer. While these hotels may not be right next to the main shopping area, the Tuktuk service is convenient.

Breakfast

We were greeted by the same warm and friendly staff from the rooftop bar the day before and she happily asked for our feedback on the hotel, as well as our itinerary for the previous day. Throughout the stay, we felt really welcomed by all the staffs in the hotel – impeccable service.

The breakfast buffet was located on the 19th floor as well, and it has a wide array of cold cut meats, cheese slices which were right up our alley. The egg station was fantastic as they have a variety of egg dishes. The most interesting we had was egg white omelet which was great for those who wanted a lighter version of the omelet.

Do try to sit by the window, where you get a good view of Bangkok city.

Facilities

Even with just 174 guests rooms, the hotel has world-class facilities.

Located on Level 19, the swimming pool is right next to the fitness centre. Though the infinity pool is not located on the top floor, it still has a good view of the city. I was quite impressed with the toilets next to the fitness centre and the swimming pool with free lockers as well as a sauna room for use.

Club Lounge

Even without the club lounge access, I would totally recommend having an evening cocktail on the Speakeasy rooftop bar for the ambiance and the view.

Service

Things we are not that happy about:

    • No Nespresso machines at the mini bar
    • Swimming pool is a little small, but you can always hop onto the treadmill for some additional exercise
    • Massages parlour around the area are expensive

Did we enjoy our stay?

This hotel is great for couples, and I could see why this is the most romantic hotel for honeymoon couples. The next time I am in Bangkok, I would definitely stay there again and even try the iconic Italian restaurant – Medici which even has its own opera-singing performances. It was a good retreat in the bustle of Bangkok city.
